Definitions and interpretation
Data: collectively all information that you submit to Orchard Recruiting via the Website. This definition incorporates, where applicable, the definitions provided in the Data Protection Laws;

Our use of Data

- our contractual obligation to hirers to ensure as far as is reasonably practicable that candidates are qualified, eligible and suitable for the posts advertised;

We may use your Data for the above purposes if we deem it necessary to do so for the legitimate interests of us, the hirer or you. If you are not satisfied with this, you have the right to object in certain circumstances (see the section headed “Your rights” below).
Who we share Data with
We may share your Data with the following groups of people for the following reasons:
- our employees, agents and/or professional advisors – to allow us to answer queries
- the company advertising the vacancy for which you have applied
- your referees or previous employers, in order to verify the details in your application
- in the case of CVs uploaded to the site to be held on record for future vacancies, any hirer to whom we feel in our professional judgement that your details may be of interest in order to fill a vacancy
- legal and/or immigration authorities and HMRC if required by statute or if in our opinion an offence has been committed or is in danger of being committed.
Keeping Data secure
We will use technical and organisational measures to safeguard your Data, for example:
- access to your account is controlled by a password and a user name that is unique to you.
- we store your Data on secure servers.
- your details are ONLY shared with those people indicated in this policy, who are also bound by data protection legislation.
