Assistant Management Accountant

Winchester – £30k to £35k

Orchard Recruiting have been approached by our client in Winchester to support them in finding an Assistant Management Accountant.

Our client is looking for a driven candidate who is eager to learn and develop their skills across numerous entities and industries, with the support of the wider finance team.

There will be career growth opportunities due to the ever-expanding nature of the company.

Duties to include –

  • Assist in the preparation of management accounts for:
    • Three newly formed businesses
    • An existing business
  • Preparation of management accounts for the head office group company to include:
    • Raising recharges to other group companies
    • Monitoring fixed asset register
    • Processing employee expense claims
  • Assist with re-forecasts.
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist with year-end statutory audit process.
  • Assist with annual budgeting process.
  • VAT & CIS returns.
  • Month end journal postings.
  • Processing a small number of sales and purchase invoices.
  • Setting up and approving payments across numerous banking platforms.

Experience –

  • AAT qualified
  • Good working knowledge of Excel
  • Excel modelling skills (desired but not essential)
  • Sage line 50 (desired but not essential)
  • Landmark Systems (desired but not essential)

  • Highly accurate and numerate
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet required deadlines

  • Strong communicator

Hours – 08:30 – 17:30 – 1 hour lunch
