Orchard Recruiting are delighted to be supporting our client recruit for a Legal Administrator. The purpose of this role is to assist in the Private Client Department. The role will involve being the first port of call supporting the busy Solicitor, in the department, and assist with the smooth running of their case load, client diary management and general administrative and office tasks. Working hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with a one-hour lunch break.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The role will include but is not limited to:
General administration tasks such as opening new client files, sending out client care letters, filing, photo copying and management of your appointment diary.
Communicating with clients and third parties by telephone, email, and letter.
Dealing with all types of Private Client work: Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection work, Probate, Trusts, and Estate Planning.
Dealing with enquiries received and researching where necessary to supply responses, liaising with third parties including clients.
Keeping up to date with training and relevant changes in law.
Office:
All staff are expected to assist with the maintenance of running a small but busy office.

Having a good working knowledge of office procedures.
Being polite and courteous to clients, staff, and all other visitors at all times.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be someone who:
· Someone who is willing to learn on the job and advance their skill set.
· Some experience working in a law firm or legal background is preferred.
· Excellent computer skills and attention to detail are required.
· Courteous manner with clients, particularly on the telephone.
· Present themselves in a professional manner and well presented at all times.
