Due to our client going from strength to strength they have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Estimator / Scheme Designer to join their existing team in their offices on the outskirts of Southampton. This is an office-based role the working hours are Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm with a one-hour lunch break.
The purpose of the role is to support the business by developing accurate estimates and tenders for design and build projects ensuring all client requirements and technical issues are considered.
The role will require:
- Maintaining an important level of diligence across all tasks
- Development of scheme design proposals/tenders to client requirements using applications such as AutoCAD
- Customer and production liaison
- Use of project / documentation management control systems
About you:
- Good administrative, organisational and communication skills
- Numerate with a strong working understanding of Microsoft applications.
- Able to capture and disseminate information including the understanding of technical drawings.
- Good eye for detail
- Happy to work within a busy and demanding environment.
- Some experience within Electrical/CAD would be preferable.
